WELCOME

Welcome to the Great Harwood Christian Fellowship website.

We are an Independent Evangelical Church, known for its love and unity. This means that we welcome people from many different backgrounds into our church family. We offer a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to join us at any of our services and events.

Jesus Christ is the centre of our Church and daily lives. We are enabled by His Holy Spirit, and follow the truth revealed in His Word (the Bible).

The core of our church family is made up of people who attend our Sunday services, but our family extends to include those who join us for other activities throughout the week.

THE 1689 BAPTIST CONFESSION OF FAITH

The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith is a Reformed confession of faith written by English Baptists. The Act of Toleration passed by the Parliament of England in the same year had enabled other churches to exist alongside the established churches in England and Scotland. Over 100 Particular Baptist churches gathered in London from 3rd to 12th September 1689 to discuss and endorse a Confession that had first been published in 1677.

It sets out details of Christian faith and worship which remain relevant today.
